Some of our recent work
Translating strategy into action
A group of significant South Island tourism operators were facing sweeping regulatory changes proposed by the Government.
Transcend were contracted to provide strategic advisory services and to help operators consolidate their efforts to reduce the impact of the proposed regulatory changes.
Transcend has been actively involved in establishing the collective, and in facilitating purposeful and considered engagement with government to deliver certainty and traction on key issues faced by the region.
Forming effective partnerships
A New Zealand alternative fuels company progressing hydrogen vehicle conversions asked Transcend to assist their navigation of the complex regulatory environment and to assist in achieving key growth milestones.
Transcend delivered a four-part service offering to the client, including government relations, high-level strategy design and implementation, commercial opportunity development and negotiations, and project management.
We leveraged our strong experience and connections in the alternative energy space to facilitate meetings with key decision-makers, to get government funding for the project and to align the clients priorities with the strategic priorities of government ministers.
Managing sensitive investigations
A regulatory body was faced with an unanticipated surge in investigations into market activity. To assist with the investigation, Transcend was enlisted by the regulatory body to establish lines of inquiry and supervise and manage the investigations, as well as the necessary review under the applicable legislation.
Our work for this client involved managing five interlinked but independent work-streams with high dependencies. The project required careful sequencing due legal interdependencies, public/private interdependencies, and careful management of the relationships between commercial market participants and the regulator.
Transcend set up a project and worked with the project team to ensure this work was delivered within scope, cost and time parameters while still meeting the needs of the client as prescribed in legislation.
